Javier Fraile-Peláez obtained the M.S and Ph.D. degrees in Telecommunication Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 1986 and 1990, respectively. He joined the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in 1989 and is currently a professor with the Dept. of Signal Theory & Communications at the Universidad de Vigo. His research areas include optical communications, nonlinear optics, integrated photonics and quantum processing.
