Francisco has more than 25 years of experience in research areas like optoelectronic devices, optical communications, nonlinear optics and quantum optics. He has supervised more than 10 Ph. D. students and 3 postdocs. He is national evaluator from the Spanish Ministry of Education and ANEP auditor. He has more than 50 articles and has written two internationally recognized books on optical communications.
